Howzitsound collects personal information and non-personal information.
Personal information refers to information that lets us know the specifics of who you are. Personal information is requested when you set up a customer account (“My Account”), order a download and or send us feedback. This information may include your name, billing address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card or other payment information and download details. Howzitsound uses this information to fill your orders and better provide you with personalized services.

Non-personal information refers to information that does not by itself identify you. We may gather certain information about you based upon where you shop on our site in several ways. This information may be compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis. Howzitsound gathers information when you set up a Customer Account. Before you may order Digital Downloads or make other purchases, you must first establish a customer account. To set up a Customer Account, we will collect your name, and a password established by you and an e-mail address. We may use that information to set up a personal greeting that you will see when you return to our site and to contact you. We may also track your traffic patterns throughout your online session, including the pages, information and advertisements you view while using the site and what music you download. Your IP address may be used by us to diagnose problems with our servers, software, administer our site and gather demographic information.

We will collect personal information from you when you order a music download from us. We collect and maintain your name, e-mail address, billing and shipping address, shipping contact telephone numbers, music selections, credit card or other payment information and a password. This information is collected as disclosed in this Policy, in order to download the music to you, to pay music royalties, and to administer our site. We will not disclose your personal information to any intellectual property rights-holders without your prior consent. We may, however, make our customer records available to record labels outside auditing agents on a confidential basis as part of periodic audits of our download sales.

We will disclose your personal information to third parties to charge your credit card and deliver promotional e-mails to you from Howzitsound.

Where you sign up for music or other products offered through our site, but sold directly to you by a third party, we give your personal information to that third party (e.g., a music CD available on our site from a sponsoring third party).

Occasionally Howzitsound may be asked by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide personal information to the appropriate governmental authorities. You may ask to have the information on your account deleted or removed but you cannot delete information associated with past purchases. Accordingly, you should not expect that all of your personal information will be completely removed from our backed-up databases.

Established third party banking and processing agents handle all credit card transactions. They receive the information needed to verify and authorize your credit card or other payment information.
Your account information is kept on a secure server. All of the customer data we collect when you place an order is protected against unauthorized access by advanced encryption and firewall technology. To further ensure your security, we use state-of-the-art Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”) encryption to protect your personal information from unauthorized use.

You must be at least 13 years old to have our permission to use this site. We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information about visitors under 13 years of age. Our third-party ad servers may occasionally use outside agents, whose computers will serve ads on our site in the same manner and under the same conditions as above.
